Senior Accountant
Job Description​​

AIR Marshall Islands, Inc., the national airline of Marshall Islands is seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant who will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

  • Provide financial oversight and ensure the internal controls and company policies are implemented and adhered to across the organization
  • Knowledge of financial tasks such as creditors, payments, banking, records keeping, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Oversee month end processes including preparation of journals and accruals
  • Analyze and provide insightful recommendations on the reporting of monthly debtors, reconciliations, monthly forecasts, payroll reports within agreed timeframes
  • Ensure the fixed asset register – additions and disposals are maintained as per policy
  • Facilitate and provide assistance to internal/external auditors and respond to queries as required
  • Ensure all payments such as statutory payments are prepared and paid within legislative timeframes
  • Drive change and efficiencies in the finance team
  • Lead and provide direction to create high performing culture with motivated teams
  • Any other duties assigned from time to time by the CFO

Qualifications and essential attributes:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with leadership skills
  • Good knowledge of Accounting packages and competent with GAAP
  • Minimum of a year’s experience in implementing new systems and procedures
  • Excellent Microsoft excel skills
